Our role as a Data Fiduciary

Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act), Satellite Gastro Associates is a Data Fiduciary for personal data collected via this website and during the course of providing clinical care.

The categories of data we hold

Identification and contact data (name, phone, email, address).
Clinical data (history, investigations, treatments).
Web usage data (only with analytics consent).

Your rights under the DPDP Act

Right to access a summary of the personal data we hold about you.
Right to correction, completion, updating and erasure.
Right to nominate another person to exercise your rights in the event of incapacity or death.
Right to grievance redressal.
Right to withdraw consent at any time for processing based on consent.

How to exercise these rights

Write to contact@satellitegastro.comwith the subject line "Data rights request" and a brief description. We aim to respond within 30 days. If you are not satisfied, you may complain to the Data Protection Board of India.

Cross-border transfers

Some of our service providers (e.g. email delivery, hosting) may process data outside India. We use providers that offer contractually-binding protection equivalent to that required by the DPDP Act.
