Our role as a Data Fiduciary

Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act), Satellite Gastro Associates is a Data Fiduciary for personal data collected via this website and during the course of providing clinical care.

The categories of data we hold

  • Identification and contact data (name, phone, email, address).
  • Clinical data (history, investigations, treatments).
  • Web usage data (only with analytics consent).

Your rights under the DPDP Act

  • Right to access a summary of the personal data we hold about you.
  • Right to correction, completion, updating and erasure.
  • Right to nominate another person to exercise your rights in the event of incapacity or death.
  • Right to grievance redressal.
  • Right to withdraw consent at any time for processing based on consent.

How to exercise these rights

Write to contact@satellitegastro.comwith the subject line "Data rights request" and a brief description. We aim to respond within 30 days. If you are not satisfied, you may complain to the Data Protection Board of India.

Cross-border transfers

Some of our service providers (e.g. email delivery, hosting) may process data outside India. We use providers that offer contractually-binding protection equivalent to that required by the DPDP Act.
