Satellite Gastro Associates was set up to bring the standard of care found at the country's top teaching hospitals to a neighbourhood clinic where the people of Satellite and south-west Ahmedabad can walk in without a long referral chain. That is the entire premise: senior consultant time, modern endoscopy, and an unhurried consultation, in a setting that does not feel like an institution.

The practice is led by Dr. Pratin Bhatt (MD, DM Gastroenterology, Seth GSMC & KEM Hospital, Mumbai) and Prof. Dhaval Gupta (MBBS, MD, DM Gastroenterology, Fellow in Advanced Endoscopy, ESEGH MRCP UK). Between them they trained at LTMMC & LTMGH Sion Hospital and Seth GSMC & KEM Hospital, two of the largest DM gastroenterology programmes in India, with additional fellowship time in advanced endoscopy and hepatology. They hold the Medical Registrations to match: G-39804 and G-40523 respectively, listed on every page where their names appear.

We see the everyday problems, acidity, irritable bowel symptoms, fatty liver, gallstones, alongside the procedures that usually require travel to a metro: third-space endoscopy (POEM, ESD, EFTR, STER), EUS-guided sampling and drainage, ERCP with Spyglass cholangioscopy for difficult bile-duct disease, Fibroscan for liver assessment, and ambulatory manometry and pH studies for swallowing and reflux problems. When something needs a transplant centre, we coordinate the referral; for everything else, the workup and treatment happen here.

Every visit starts with a careful history. We have found that most gastrointestinal questions are answered there, before a single test is ordered. When tests are needed, we explain why, what to expect, and what each result means for the path forward. Reports come with the images, not as a one-line impression, so that you and any onward doctor can see what we saw.
