Procedure
A thin sensor records acid exposure in the food pipe over 24 hours, while you continue normal daily activity. The gold-standard test for confirming reflux disease.
A small sensor is placed in the lower food pipe. It records the number, duration and timing of acid (and non-acid) reflux events over 24 hours.
You wear a small recorder on a belt and continue your normal activities, recording meals and symptoms.
A nasal catheter is placed, or a wireless capsule is clipped to the food pipe lining during endoscopy.
You wear the recorder for 24 hours and return it the next day.
Mild nasal discomfort with the catheter type.
